Our Mission

Rho Beta Epsilon (PBE), the Robotics Engineering Honors Society, was founded in 2007 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute by seven students was a passion for robotics.

The mission of Rho Beta Epsilon is to encourage and recognize exemplary robotics students at the university level while aiding in their personal and professional development, and to advance the robotics engineering community through exceptional education, leadership, and passion for robotics. The Rho Beta Epsilon National Board helps connect chapters and provide oversight to the society, as well as seek out new institutions that are eligible to start PBE chapters.

What We Do

Rho Beta Epsilon empowers student leaders to give back to their community and demonstrate their passion for engineering. PBE chapters host events during midterms and finals weeks to support students, provide help with course and lab work, and collaborate with other organizations to promote robotics and engineering. We also provide opportunities for students to develop leadership skills, network with industry professionals, and engage in community service projects with their school's administration to build better and more inclusive engineering programs.
